Camp FinLake respects the privacy of its customers. Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable legislation and only when there is a lawful basis for processing. We only process personal data that is necessary for providing services, managing customer relationships, and developing our operations.

Our website may contain links to third-party services that are subject to their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data processing practices of these third parties.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • managing customer relationships and providing customer service
  • processing bookings and payments
  • communication and customer information
  • marketing (in accordance with applicable legislation)
  • developing, analysing, and reporting on our operations
  • collecting and processing customer feedback

  • contract (e.g. processing bookings and providing accommodation services)

Contents of the Register

The register may contain the following information:

  • name
  • contact details (telephone number, email address, postal address)
  • booking and accommodation information
  • payment and invoicing information
  • customer communications and feedback
  • technical information collected when using the website (e.g. IP address)

Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and analytics and statistical tools to improve the user experience and evaluate the use of the website. Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device. Users can restrict or disable the storage of cookies through their browser settings. However, this may affect the functionality of the website.

Regular Sources of Information

Information is mainly obtained from:

  • the customer themselves (bookings and enquiries)
  • the booking system
  • customer interactions and communications
  • possible feedback and surveys

Processors of Personal Data

Bookings made through the booking system are stored in the WebiaBooking booking system maintained by Webian Oy, which acts as a processor of personal data. The processing of personal data in the WebiaBooking system is carried out in accordance with the service provider’s privacy practices. More information: https://mail.webia.fi/tietosuojaseloste/

Disclosure and Transfer of Data

Personal data is not regularly disclosed to external parties. Personal data is generally not transferred outside the EU or the EEA. If such transfers are required, they will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Webia processes data within the scope of its own policies and procedures.

Retention Period of Data

Personal data is retained for the duration of the customer relationship. Personal data related to accounting is retained for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act (6 years from the end of the financial year).

Principles of Register Protection

Personal data is processed confidentially and protected with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Access to personal data is restricted only to persons who have the right to process such data based on their work duties.

Rights of the Data Subject

The data subject has the following rights:

  • the right to access their personal data
  • the right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • the right to request deletion of their personal data
  • the right to restrict the processing of their personal data
  • the right to object to the use of their personal data (e.g. for direct marketing)
  • the right to transfer their data from one system to another (data portability)
  • the right to withdraw consent at any time
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

The supervisory authority in Finland is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (www.tietosuoja.fi/en). If a person wishes to review the information stored about them or request correction of their data, the request must be submitted in writing to the controller.
